UNIV Courses and Programs provides knowledge and support to students as they adjust to college and strive to excel in their studies at George Mason University. We serve all undergraduate students as they transition into college, determine their major and solidify their career path, become student leaders, and prepare for life after college.
I’m glad I took it! It helped me learn more about GMU and tips to help on my path to success.
The class was beneficial, and I would suggest all incoming freshman to register for it.
I love helping first year students find their path at Mason.
Transitioning to college can be so difficult/scary/exciting! Being able to serve as a resource, help students build community, and share “all things Mason” is so fun and rewarding! There is truly nothing like it. I say that as a former student, Peer Advisor, and now faculty.
Teaching UNIV 100 has been the highlight of the semester! I love the process of developing lesson plans with my PA, getting to know the students, and seeing our students engage and grow in and out of the class.
I absolutely adored this course. Every class, I would come in excited to do a new activity or discussion. I also feel as if the class helped me connect to my hallmates and the community at GMU as a whole.
